Role-based Access Controls
To provide a structured and effective approach to managing access control, enhance security, and facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements, GitProtect.io enables role-based access controls. Thus, you can easily manage your team permissions by grouping them with similar needs and privileges under predefined roles.
GitProtect.io allows you to assign access rights based on responsibilities and job functions each team member has. There are four roles within the GitPotect.io permission model:
- System administrator, the most privileged account, as this person can view the settings, restore your DevOps data in case of a failure, create and run backup tasks, and manage data stores and system settings.
- Backup operator, who can review the settings, and create and run backup tasks.
- Restore operator, who can both view the settings and restore critical data when there is a need.
- Viewer, the least privileged account, who can only view the settings, and monitor the backup performance.
Given that, you can always stay in full control over your data management, knowing who is responsible for which operations regarding your backup plan performance, restore operations should the need arise, and monitoring.
